At Chess Tournaments: The Skittles Room is the tournament space set apart for chess players and parents to relax. Parents are expected to be present for the tournament and for the duration of tournament to be on hand to help as needed. It is also the preparation space for chess players between matches. The tournament rooms are of course meant to be silent. The Skittles Room is an area for casual conversation, eating, playing other quiet games. Rough housing , running around, and making excess noise is not promoted in the Skittles Room.
If players desire to run around or throw a ball outside they are welcome to do so.
